1. On the terminal type,

crontab -e
```

This will open the cronjob editor. It may prompt you to select the editor of your choosing e.g. nano, vim etc.

2. Add your periodic schedule and the command to run your script at the bottom of the file as shown below:
The example belows run the python script every day at midnight. Ensure that you provide the correct path to your python script.

```bash
0 0 * * * /usr/bin/python3 /path/to/your/script.py
```

General syntax of a cronjob:
```bash
* * * * * /path/to/script

| | | | ----- Day of week (0 - 7) (Sunday is both 0 and 7)

3. Exit the editor by saving the changes.
