Docker Compose is a tool that was developed to help define and share multi-container applications. With Compose, we can create a YAML file to define the services and with a single command, can spin everything up or tear it all down. 

Some of the main features of Docker-compose are as follows:

1. Multiple environments on same Host: We can use it to

create multiple environments on the same host server.

2. Preserve Volume Data on Container Creation: Docker

compose also preserves the volume data when we create a

container.

3. Recreate the changed Containers: We can also use

compose to recreate the changed containers.

4. Variables in Compose file: Docker compose also supports

variables in compose file. In this way we can create

variations of our containers.
