Posting Instruction Batches represent the movements of funds between accounts. An
account may have zero or many postings associated with the account
A single Posting Instruction Batch is made up of many Posting Instructions. A Posting
Instruction will always contain at least two postings which can either credit (“value
being added”) or debits (“value being removed
In addition, postings are immutable. They are stored in an append-only ledger, which is
the source of truth of the financial movements within Vault. It’s important to note that
because postings cannot be edited, you will need to make new backdated postings if
you wish to edit a posting that has been committed to the ledger.
