The Configuration Layer Utility helps to load configuration resources into Vault, calling Vault's public APIs. Configuration resources outline how Vault operates on a daily basis and outline the business logic of a financial institution. A list of supported configuration resources can be found in our Configuration Layer Utility user guide.
The Configuration Layer of Vault has been developed to be used in a self-service manner and, to achieve this, we provide configuration packs for the creation and modification of Configuration Layer data as part of the Platform Layer.
Vault offers multiple types of Configuration Layer data including:
Smart Contracts, which enable the definition of financial products
Workflows, which enable you to automate business processes
The Configuration Layer Utility (CLU) is a Command Line Interface for configuring resources in Vault.
Configuration layer resources, which enable the modification of Vault and financial product behaviour; for example Calendars, Global Parameter values and Internal Accounts.
