A balance within the Vault system is represented by three key attributes:
● Total Credits: That is the total value of Credit postings against that particular balance.
● Total Debits: That is the total value of Debit postings against that particular balance.
The Net calculation depends on the TSide (have a read into T Accounts in Accounting for further
information) of the account the address sits within.
In an ASSET account, the calculation of this is NET Debit Credit. An example of an asset account
is a Credit Card (because when you spend money with your Credit Card you owe the bank money,
which becomes an asset on their balance sheet).
In a LIABILITY account, the calculation of this is NET Credit Debit. An example of an asset account
is a Savings Account (because when you add money to your Savings Account the bank owes you
money, which becomes a liability on their balance sheet)
